Frequently asked questions about costs

How is the fee calculated?

The annual membership fee is socially graded and based on your total annual income. There are 13 fee categories: the higher the gross income, the higher the fee. For jointly assessed spouses, income is considered together.

What is included in the fee?

The membership fee covers all of the association's services – preparation of the tax return, advice and queries regarding the assessment. Preparing the return is included; no additional costs apply.

Is there an admission fee?

In the year of joining, a one-off admission fee of €12 (gross) is charged. For jointly assessed spouses it is charged only once.

Is the tax return included in the fee?

Yes. Preparing your income tax return is included in the membership fee; no additional costs apply. Only particularly complex or retroactive cases may incur additional charges.
